A Solid Business Case

A recent Credit Union Journal article quotes Hall noting that there is a strong business case for offering green loans.  He observed that the Filene Research Institute’s  study’s findings “make it clear that there is a solid business case for credit unions to expand their focus on helping their members cope with the ever rising costs of energy to heat their homes and to get the most out of each gallon of gasoline.”

Hall Associates Consulting LLC teamed up with the Filene Research Institute to find out whether credit unions are marketing loans to help their members save money at the gas pump and on their utility bills.  And, if so, what was the outcome?  After conducting a detailed online survey and holding a series of interviews with senior credit union managers, we have the answer.
